Adastra Bowls Club – Public Open Day from 2.00pm at the Club Pavilion, Orchard Lane, Hassocks. If you've never bowled before and are interested in finding out about bowls, then contact James Avery on 01273 843399 to book a place. The Club will provide all equipment including coaching etc. Bring your own flat shoes (NO heels) if you have them.

St Peter & St James Hospice - 5th annual Fun Run or Walk. The route, which starts and finishes at the Hospice in North Chailey, goes through 5½ miles of beautiful Sussex countryside and there is also a ¾ mile Junior Fun Run for 12 year olds and under in the Hospice grounds. Places are available now and team entries are welcome. There are lots of delicious foods and tea/coffee etc at competitive prices - and profit goes back to the producers of the goods - giving the Third World a better chance to improve their own lives. After browsing this stall, and choosing scrummy delights - then pop into Powell House (the adjacent door) for a great cuppa - at 'sensible prices'. Great company too - and that is free!
