Hassocks Village Audit
Produced by local resident Colin Edmunds, this document was designed to record the environment currently enjoyed by the residents of Hassocks. It will hopefully serve to provide an authoritative basis on which to measure the impact of future developments and proposed changes to the infrastructure within the village, relative to the considered needs of the residents.
Villagers currently have little input on expansion plans for the village, with decisions taken by Government and Developers and this document, in conjunction with the Village Design Statement, should help to formulate factual and reasoned argument for directing, proposing or defending future change directly affecting our quality of life.
Looking to the future and the predicted effect of ‘global warming’, having compiled such a comprehensive overview of our village, the document represents an opportunity to produce a ‘carbon footprint’ recording the impact on the environment presented by the day-to-day lifestyle of Hassocks inhabitants.
